Child Advocacy Center Over the Edge registration
January 12 - May 26| varies
On June 3, the Child Advocacy Center will once again take their fundraising to new heights. Partnering with Canadian-based “Over the Edge” and The Vecino Group in Springfield, they are offering 92 people the opportunity to rappel the Sky Eleven building in downtown Springfield. In exchange, each participant must raise a minimum of $1,000 to support the CAC’s mission of putting the needs of the child first in the investigation of abuse.
A $50 non-refundable Early Bird Registration fee is offered through March 3, with scheduled monthly increases thereafter. To reserve a rappel spot, participants must be 16 years of age and raise a minimum of $1,000 before May 26. The $1,000 amount is the estimated cost of serving one child at the CAC.
The CAC provides child-friendly and age-appropriate services in a warm, welcoming, child-friendly environment. Behind the scenes a full team of investigators collaborates to determine the most appropriate action to take on behalf of each child victim. The agency served 1,349 children from 16 counties in 2016.
