Scientists say being single is better for your health. But what does my HEART say?
Being single has a handful of benefits- alone time being one of them!
Single people are also more likely to not only embrace solitude, but benefit from it. Us single folk also tend to have stronger social networks, too!
Researchers found that singles were not only more likely to frequently reach out to their social networks, but also tended to provide and receive help from these people more than their married peers. Turns out friendships are the key to aging well and maximizing your happiness.
Another benefit of being single: people who “settle down” ease into unhealthier habits. All those nights you spending together on the couch watching your shows really add up while us single folks are on the prowl fighting to find our significant others…. so we can be unhealthy right there with ya!
