All-Female Space Walk to Happen This Month

The historic space walk was rescheduled and will now take place this October.

How many astronauts does it take to change the batteries?

It sounds like the beginning to the joke. The answer is 2!

Coming up later this month NASA announced that history will be made with the first all female space walk taking place on October 21st.

The RESCHEDULED all female space walk that is. Remember how NASA told us they were going to do this once before but then they had to cancel, because the space station didn’t have the right size space suits? They didn’t have enough to fit each woman.

Well it seems they’ve fixed that problem!

Astronauts Christina Koch, who was originally scheduled to walk, and Jessica Mier will walk on Monday the 21st to swap out old batteries on the International Space Station’s solar panels.

It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it!

True story, sometimes if they’re doing a space walk while we’re doing our show I’ll put it on in the background and watch it in between breaks.

You know I’m a space nerd!

I will definitely be watching on October 21!
