Women BUILD 2023 is Habitat For Humanity's Women Empowerment Program!
Habitat For Humanity's Women Build events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities.
Women Build opportunities are available across the U.S., and any woman who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. No experience is necessary. Volunteers work under the guidance of construction professionals, and also alongside other volunteers and future Habitat homeowners. Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and improves the community that you share.
Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact. Women helping women sends a positive and powerful message. You can also come alone, and make new friends. The atmosphere is collaborative and friendly.

AMC Movie Style Popcorn Coming to Walmart!

Movie powerhouse AMC is working with Walmart to launch a line of Microwave popcorn products.
Three different AMC Popcorn flavors will be available starting March 11. Enjoy classic butter, extra butter, and lightly salted flavors.
The AMC ready-to-eat products will be available in a 4.2 to 5.2 oz. bag and will sell for $3.98 plus tax.
The Academy Awards will be March 12, 2023.

School Board Approves Thanksgiving Week Off
It looks like more family time during Thanksgiving for Springfield Public School attendees!
A survey in November for parents of school kids, determined that a full week off during the Thanksgiving holiday is needed.
This week, the Springfield R-12 school board approved that week off for the 2023/2024 school year.

“Investigation Discovery” Focuses on Murdered Willard Couple Tonight!
A murder in the Ozarks will be featured tonight on “MURDER IN THE HEARTLAND” which you can find on Investigation Discovery at 8 pm.
The show will focus on the 2011 murders of two people from Willard. Russell and Rebecca Porter, newlyweds went missing from their home in April. Their bodies were found in Taney county in July of 2011 Coroner findings were that the two each died from gunshot wounds.
Five people were convicted in connection of the murders one of which was the Uncle of Russell Porter.
