It’s certainly been a big day for Charli XCX.
First, Rachel Sennott mentioned her while announcing the Oscar nominations on Thursday morning. Then she received five nominations for the BRIT Awards, the U.K. version of the Grammys. Now Variety reports that she’s making a movie based on her own original idea.
Charli is partnering with independent studio A24 to make the film, called The Moment. She’ll produce it via her new production company, Studio365, and as Variety notes, “Sources indicate that [she] may also star.”
As Variety reports, this is just the latest in a long list of film projects the British singer is involved in: she’ll also appear in the movies Faces of Death, I Want Your Sex, Sacrifice, The Gallerist, 100 Nights of Hero and Erupcja. Plus, she appears as herself in an upcoming TV series called Overcompensating.
