Welcome to FORMAT Festival! We look forward to seeing you in Bentonville, AR. Get prepared for the festival ahead and read over our tips for the weekend:
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
·   Fest Responsibly: The safety and security of all festival attendees is our number one priority. For tips or more details on the security measures in place at FORMAT, visit our safety information page. ​​​​​
·   Getting Here: The festival is located on 250 acres at the private Sugar Creek Airstrip just six minutes from Bentonville’s center at 3100 Price Coffee Road, Bentonville, AR. Check out our Getting Here & Getting Home page or reach out to us with any questions!
Open: Gates open Friday, September 23rd – Sunday, September 25th at 12PM.
Close: Gates close at 3AM on Friday, September 23rd – Saturday, September 24th and 1 AM on Sunday, September 25th.
·   Entry Time: Festival gates open at 12 PM CT each day. We can’t wait to see you at Sugar Creek Airstrip!
·   Picking Up Tickets? The FORMAT Box Office will be located adjacent to the main entrance of the festival.
Box Office Hours: September 23rd – September 25th from 11 AM – 1 AM
Please visit this location to pick up Will Call orders, upgrade tickets (if available), or to receive support for tickets purchased through Front Gate Tickets. A government-issued ID is required to verify your order and pick up tickets.
Check your email! Have your receipt with barcode ready before you arrive at the box office to expedite your box office experience. This was sent to you when you purchased your tickets and we’ll be sending them out again this week.
·   Allowed & Prohibited Items: Each person and their belongings are subject to search upon entry. Please view this list to see what you can and cannot bring into the festival as well as our bag policy. To speed up entry, leave your bags at home, and take advantage of FORMAT’s No Bag Express Lanes.
·   Wristband Activation: Once you activate your wristband, register for Cashless – it’s the easy way to purchase festival food, merch, and more with a tap of a wrist.
Did you tighten your wristband or put it on too soon? Please visit the Box Office located adjacent to the main entrance of the festival for a wristband replacement. Please refer to the Wristband Policy for information on wristband replacements.
·   Map Out Your Weekend: Before arriving, check out the Official 2022 Map to see the stages, find places to dine, plan entrance and exit routes, plus more.
·   Official Bag Policy: ALL bags will be searched before entry. Small clutch purses and fanny packs that are 4.5″ x 5.5″ or smaller do not need to be clear but can have no more than one pocket. All other bags must be fully clear and made up of clear plastic, vinyl, or pvc, and be no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ ONLY. Single pocket drawstring bags, backpacks, and bags with multiple pockets are prohibited.
Hydration packs are allowed and do not need to be clear but must be emptied of all liquid and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holding the water reservoir.

·   Rock & Recycle: We invite attendees to join our sustainability efforts to reduce the festival’s impact on the environment by participating in recycling initiatives such as Rock & Recyle, where fans can earn a commemorative FORMAT t-shirt designed by Tyson by filling up a bag of aluminum cans from the festival grounds. Check out all of our Sustainability Efforts happening throughout the festival.
