SPRINGFIELD, MO — Drury University, in partnership with the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, celebrates the dedication of Mark Worley Field at Meador Park Saturday, March 2, 11:30 a.m., at 2600 S. Fremont.

The newly renamed stadium field has recently undergone $1.5 million in improvements, including installation of artificial turf, funded entirely through generous donations to Drury University. Drury announced the plan to renovate the field in August 2023, with the project to be complete in time for Drury Baseball’s 2024 return to Meador Park, its home from 2006 to 2016.

In addition to artificial turf, Mark Worley Field has a new main entrance gate, new outfield fencing and foul poles, a restored scoreboard and sound system, refreshed dugouts, upgraded restroom and concessions stand, and a fresh coat of paint. Park Board operations staff provided in-kind support.

When Drury Baseball is not playing at Mark Worley Field, the facility will provide shared opportunities for youth sports and tournaments, including Park Board leagues.

Following the dedication ceremony, Drury plays a doubleheader facing Augustana University, starting at noon.
