Olivia Rodrigo offered advice to Chappell Roan as she navigated her rocket ship ride to fame this year, but Olivia says Chappell, who opened for her earlier this year, has given her equally good advice when it comes to being an artist.

“She’s taught me so much about artistry and being creative and how to take care of yourself on the road,” Olivia tells Entertainment Tonight. “She’s just so wonderful. She always reminds me that we’re constantly changing and, you know, you’re never stuck in one era of your life. You can always reinvent and be more creative and do fun things.”

Olivia’s artistry was on display during her recently wrapped GUTS World Tour, but she told People that at first she wasn’t sure if the production was ready for prime time.

“I was like, ‘I should have rehearsed more … like I needed three more weeks to rehearse this thing,’” she revealed. “I was so scared that I was going to mess up.”

But Olivia pulled her first show off, telling People, “I remember coming off stage and my mom, my dad, and all my friends were there to support me and just cheering. We popped champagne. And it was such a beautiful moment. I’ll remember it forever.”
