Secret just made a HUGE donation to the Women’s U.S. National Soccer Team!
I’m sure you maybe heard the news….the Women’s US National Soccer Team won the 2019 World Cup!
Back to back world cup champs I’ll have you know, which is a feat in itself. That’s why it is super depressing and super wrong, that the US women’s team doesn’t earn as much as the men’s.
These women work just as hard as the men, if not harder, ok? Ladies, you know, lets be real.
The US men’s soccer team has NEVER won a World Cup before and they still get paid more than us women!
This is going to make you so mad:
Each player on the U.S. women’s national team could receive about $260,000 in maximum earnings for winning the World Cup, while each player on the U.S. men’s national team could have earned nearly $1 million if the club had won the World Cup.
To help close the pay gap, Procter and Gamble, who own Secret deodorant are donating over half a million dollars to the women’s team in support.
This whole debacle is reigniting the conversation about equal pay. Seriously?! t’s 2019, it’s the 21st century, shame on the man for keeping us down!
Again, shout out to secret deodorant for being the real MVP!
