‘The Mystery Hour’ Nominated for Webby Award

Jeff Houghton and the gang at The Mystery Hour beat out submissions from The Tonight Show, HBO, and Comedy Central.

Springfield’s local Emmy-winning late night talk show The Mystery Hour has now been nominated for a Webby Award and the show needs YOUR vote!

The Webby Awards are the “Internet’s highest honor” as described by the New York Times.

The group’s video “Icelandagram has now been nominated for the category of General Video, Comedy: Shortform.

Icelandagramfirst aired on The Mystery Hour last year and is premised on the idea that Instagram built Iceland for the sake of taking beautiful pictures.

You may remember, our friends at The Mystery Hour are no strangers to Instagram fame as the video “Instagram Husband” went viral and even spawned a controversial Taco Bell spoof.

Says Jeff Houghton, “We would love for people to take a little time to vote for us…The best part is, it only allows you to vote once.”

The public can vote at vote.webbyawards.com. Voting is open until May 7th.

The Mystery Hour airs locally on Saturday nights at 9:00 pm on Ozarks FOX and in sixteen other markets around the country. The show is now in its ninth season on television.
