Two additional people will be questioned in connection with the death of One Direction‘s Liam Payne, ABC News has confirmed.
Gilda Martin, the manager of the Argentina hotel where Liam was staying prior to his death, and Estefan Grassi, the chief of security at the hotel, will be questioned later in December.
Judge Laura Bruniard has also ordered the seizure of the phones of all of those involved, including Martin and Grassi; two female escorts who reportedly visited Liam prior to his death; Rogerio Nores, a friend whose alleged “abandonment” of Liam is seen as having contributed to his death; and those who supplied drugs to the singer.
Grassi allegedly called 911 around the time Liam died on Oct. 16, asking for Argentina’s emergency services to come to the hotel because a guest’s life “may be in danger.” Grassi and hotel management allegedly sent Liam back to his room instead of keeping him in the lobby to await the ambulance, even though they knew his room had a balcony and posed a risk.
Liam eventually died after falling from the third-floor balcony; a toxicology report found that he had cocaine and alcohol in his system.
After the suspects are questioned, Bruniard will decide whether to continue with the prosecution or drop them from the case.
Meanwhile, Fox will premiere a new special called TMZ Investigates: Liam Payne: Who’s to Blame? on Dec. 16; it streams the next day on Hulu.
