Weekend Picks 5/15/20

It’s going to be a rainy weekend here in the Ozarks. Here’s a look at what’s going on:

Closings:

Springfield Libraries are closed for the most part, with some exceptions like drive- thru. Libraries should be open in the next 2 weeks.

Memorial Day services at the Veteran’s Cemetery have been cancelled this year in Springfield.

Openings:

Missouri State Parks have started to re-open including Elephant Rocks and Castlewood State Parks.

Springfield Parks have re-opened most indoor facilities like the family centers. The tape is coming off the playgrounds!

Restaurants: Many restaurants have staggered their re-openings. Dining rooms are open, but with very limited capacity so reservations are encouraged. Takeout curbside orders are still available.

Casinos are opening! Buffalo Run opens today, they say they’ll be taking temperatures at the door and have every other machine turned off to accommodate social distancing. Downstream Casino will open next Thursday.

Streaming:

Netflix: Riverdale Season 4 is now out. Magic for Humans Season 3 with Michael Carbonaro is out too!

Hulu: The Great premieres today. We keep seeing commercials for it! With Dakota Fanning and Nicolas Holt, looks very witty and very British. I can’t wait to check it out!

Disney+: The sequel to Maleficent, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (PG) premieres on the streaming service today.
