Melissa Joan Hart “doing much better” after revealing COVID-19 diagnosis

After revealing on Sunday that she had tested positive for COVID-19, Melissa Joan Hart had some good news to report.

“I wanna let you know I’m doing so much better,” the Sabrina the Teenage Witch alum, looking a little run down, shared in a video posted to her Instagram account on Monday. “Feeling like I’m probably at like, 75 percent. My last video, I was probably [at] 20, 25 percent.”

Melissa says her 15-year-old son, Mason, who also tested positive, is doing better as well, and her youngest son, six-year-old Tucker, who also contracted the virus, has been asymptomatic.

Hart’s 13-year-old son, Braydon, is COVID-19 negative so far, but they’re still waiting on the results for her husband, Mark, which Hart says “got lost in the mail.”

“So, all staying very isolated and separate. Just wanted to send love to everyone out there,” the 45-year-old actress declared.

Melissa added that she’s gotten plenty of chicken soup to help her get better and thanked her fans for the “outpouring of love” she’s felt since revealing her diagnosis.

BTS cancel world tour due to resurgence in COVID-19 cases

BTS postponed their long-awaited “Map of the World Tour” in mid-2020 after just four shows due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, the K-pop band have officially cancelled the rest of their remaining 34 tour dates due to a resurgence of coronavirus.

Big Hit Music, the band’s label, announced the cancellation on the BTS social media platform Weverse: “Our company has worked hard to resume preparations for the BTS Map of the Soul Tour, knowing that all fans have been waiting eagerly and long for the tour. Due to changing circumstances beyond our control, it has become difficult to resume performances at the same scale and timeline as previously planned.”

Big Hit Music suggested that performances at live gigs might resume, but it offered no timeline. And these may include more virtual concerts, saying: “We are working to prepare a viable schedule and performance format that can meet your expectations, and we will provide updated notices as soon as possible.”

Chadwick Boseman honored by wife during Stand Up to Cancer telecast

Simone Boseman paid musical tribute to her late husband, actor Chadwick Boseman, during Saturday night’s Stand Up to Cancer telecast.

Anthony Anderson introduced the Black Panther star’s widow, saying, “Many of us were devastated to learn of Chadwick Boseman’s tragic passing after he privately grappled with cancer for several years.”

“The world lost an incredible artist, and a true hero,” Anderson continued. “But before he was a public figure, he was a person like you or me — a son, a brother, uncle, cousin, friend, colleague, husband.”

The black-ish star noted that, “Many of us are all too familiar with the fracture a dearly loved one’s passing leaves in the lives of those who love them. Here to perform a song about living with the reality of loss and finding a way forward is Chadwick’s wife, Simone.”

Simone then delivered an emotional rendition of “I’ll Be Seeing You,” the classic song written in 1938 by Sammy Fain and Irving Kahal and recorded by Billie Holiday, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett, among others.

Also taking part in the SU2C event were a number of Chadwick’s Marvel co-stars, including Danai Gurira, Chris Evans, Karen Gillan and Paul Rudd.

Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth were among the hosts and executive producers of this year’s Stand Up to Cancer event, which raises money for cancer research programs.

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ trailer- finally drops, featuring some familiar faces

It wasn’t Tom Holland who accidentally leaked precious secrets about an upcoming Spider-Man movie, but the 25-year-old actor did his part to hype the franchise’s third installment before the official teaser dropped on Monday, following an alleged leak the day prior.

Taking to Instagram stories, Holland warned, “You ain’t ready!”

Soon enough, Marvel dropped the official teaser-trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, which picks up right after Spider-Man: Far from Home‘s cliffhanger, where Jake Gyllenhaal‘s villainous Mysterio unmasks Peter Parker as Spider-Man and wrongfully accuses him of his murder.

The situation weaves a tangled web for Peter, who’s grappling with losing his secret identity while trying to prove his innocence to the world, which dubs him “public enemy #1.”

Desperate, Peter seeks out the help of Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Doctor Strange and asks if there’s a spell to make everyone forget he’s Spider-Man. Unfortunately, the spell goes haywire and sends the world plunging into chaos. Alternate multiverse realities begin to crash into one another, bringing back familiar faces from Spider-Man’s past, including Jamie Foxx‘s Electro and Alfred Molina‘s Doctor Octopus. In addition, we can hear Willem Dafoe‘s chilling Green Goblin laugh.

The trailer ends with Strange’s ominous warning: “Be careful what you wish for, Parker.”

While the teaser features villains from past Spider-Man incarnations, it doesn’t confirm if original Spider-Man Tobey Maguire or successor Andrew Garfield will also appear in the MCU as rumored. Maguire appeared in three Spider-Man films in the late 90s and early aughts, while Garfield took over the mantle in 2012 and 2014.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is a co-production of Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. It swings into theaters December 17.

Marvel Studios is owned by Disney, the parent company of ABC News.

Steve Martin and Martin Short admit Selena Gomez had toteach them the meaning of “WAP”

Selena Gomez took it upon herself to school her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short on pop culture, especially on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's smash hit single, "WAP."

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the conversation came about when Short, 71, was raving about his "fabulous" young co-star.

"She was in the makeup chair…and right away I could tell within five minutes she was fabulous, funny, loose, and wanted the set to be the way we all ideally wanted," he began. "And I think every time the three of us went back to our little holding area, and read the news from each other's phones and laughed, and, you know, she tells Steve lyrics to 'W.A.P.'"

His story was cut short by Gomez, 29, who chimed in with, "Why did you say W.A.P? It's WAP."

"Why can't you say W.A.P?" Short asked his co-star, to which Martin, 76, replied, "Cause that's not what they say."

"That's not what the kids say," corrected Gomez.

To back up his younger co-star, Martin jokingly quipped, "That's like calling the U.S.A., USA" -- sounding out the letters like a word instead of saying each one individually.

The trio also confirmed that Gomez "certainly did" explain the meaning behind the summer smash -- with Short quickly declaring that he had "known it for years."

The interview proved just how much chemistry the three have, with the "Lose You to Love Me" singer laughing about the comedy legends, "As you can tell, I can barely keep a straight face."

Only Murders in the Building premieres August 31 on Hulu.

Ryan Reynolds pushes for LeVar Burton to be named newpermanent ‘Jeopardy!’ host

Sony Pictures Television/Jeopardy! Productions

After Mike Richards stepped down from hosting Jeopardy!, fans have reignited their efforts to have LeVar Burton succeed the late Alex Trebek.

Over the weekend, Ryan Reynolds joined those in support of the Reading Rainbow star by sharing a story about what can happen when fans make enough noise.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, the Canadian actor explained, "Pretty consistently from 2013 to 2015 Deadpool would explode on Twitter with fans wanting me to play him. It was awkward because I agreed with them but the studio didn’t see it."

"Ultimately the fans won and the rest is glorious history. I’m forever grateful," Reynolds, who's set to star in the upcoming third Deadpool movie, concluded, before then adding, "Hi @levarburton."

The 64-year-old actor responded to Reynolds' thread by tweeting two praying hands emojis and a purple heart emoji.

Burton has said hosting Jeopardy! is his "dream job" and had been campaigning for the gig since 2013. Following Trebek's passing, fans launched a Change.org petition for Burton to become Trebek's official replacement, which has amassed over 271,000 signatures. He guest-hosted Jeopardy! from July 26 to July 30.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Richards and The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik would succeed Trebek. Then last week, Richards stepped down amid the controversy over past comments he made on a podcast, which many considered to be sexist.

A new, permanent replacement for Trebek, who died November 8 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, has not yet been announced. More guest hosts take the Jeopardy! lectern in the meantime.
