'Road House' debuts Thursday on Prime Video

Prime Video

Prime Video releases Road House, the "adrenaline-fueled reimagining" of the 1989 Patrick Swayze cult classic, on Thursday.

In the film, Jake Gyllenhaal plays Elwood Dalton, a down-on-his-luck former MMA fighter who takes a job trying to keep the peace as a bouncer at a rowdy Florida Keys roadhouse.

However, Billy Magnussen's sleazy Brandt has a family criminal legacy to live up to. He hires Knox, played by MMA champ Conor McGregor in his first movie role, and J.D. Pardo, who plays Dell, the head of a motorcycle gang, to bust up the joint.

Magnussen and Pardo both say the movie celebrates Swayze's action classic.

"It was just awesome," Magnussen enthuses of the original.

Pardo adds, "Incredible, man. I absolutely love that movie ... So for me, it was just like to be a part of this, and pay tribute in a way to that, and Patrick Swayze, is just incredible."

Magnussen adds, "You know what I think is really interesting? A film like that, if we look at it on paper, like, like, 'What is the plot of this movie?' But then you watch the film and ... you go like, 'You know what? I'm just going to enjoy it.'"

For Daniela Melchior, who plays the local doctor who falls for Gyllenhaal's character, one of the best parts of the movie was watching McGregor work. "[I]t was so special to get to see Conor doing something for the first time because he's so ... successful in the other areas that he's working -- as a businessman, as a fighter, as everything," she says. "So it was really special to see him doing something for the first time."

They all agree, however, McGregor "is a character" but praise how willing he was to learn.

'Love Is Blind' contestant begs Taylor Swift not to watch the show after Travis makes fun of her

A contestant on the Netflix dating show Love Is Blind is "mortified" that Taylor Swift's boyfriend made fun of her -- so much so that she's begging Taylor not to watch.

On the latest episode of their New Heights podcast, Travis Kelce told his brother Jason Kelce that he had to watch Love Is Blind. "It is the worst trash ever — it’s worse than [my dating show] Catching Kelce — but it’s so f****** good,” said Travis.

"Honestly, I just want you to watch the one girl and to just hear her,” Travis added. He then imitated contestant Chelsea Blackwell saying to her former fiancé, Jimmy Presnell, "You think I’m clingy? I’m clingy? Really?”

Later on March 20, Chelsea made a TikTok in which she reacted to Travis clowning her.

"I really feel like I need to crawl under a rock at this point, because Travis Kelce did an impersonation of me," Blackwell said. "And the only outlet that this man knows my name — or, not even knows my name, knows me — is from whining like a baby back b***!”

"Taylor Swift, if you're watching it with him ... please stop!" she laughed.

Many fans on X, formerly Twitter, responded by posting different variations of, "i just know that taylor made him watch it."

On his new tour, Teddy Swims might "Lose Control" and sing Shania, Journey and Taylor

Warner Records

Teddy Swims got his start posting cover songs on YouTube. Though he now has plenty of his own songs to sing, the "Lose Control" singer still plays covers in concert. Teddy, who launches a new leg of his I've Tried Everything But Therapy tour on March 22, said he'll probably never drop them entirely because the vibe of the show sometimes demands it.

Last year, Teddy played Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" at nearly every show. Explaining why, he laughed to ABC Audio, "If I have a moment in my set that's like, 'Man, Shania Twain sure would kill it right now,' then I'm gonna play Shania Twain, you know what I mean?"

"I don't think I'll ever stop having [covers] in my set. I don't think I can," he continued. "If you're in the middle of all your music, and you're like, 'Dude, what I want right now is "Don't Stop Believin'" by Journey' or 'What I want right now is Al Green, "Love and Happiness"' ...that would just round the show out perfectly."

He added, "I don't know. I just can't stop loving songs that I love, you know?"

So, which covers will he play on this new tour? Teddy told ABC Audio that his version of Taylor Swift's "Cruel Summer," which was extremely well-received when he performed it for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge in the U.K., might make the cut.

"Sometimes you think you're going to flip the song in a certain way ... and it just doesn't work at all," he laughed. "Sometimes you can have bad ideas, you know what I mean? But that one ... I think we really crushed it ... I would absolutely add it to my set."

Did 'Vanderpump Rules' star really have an orgy with John Mayer?

Miikka Skaffari/Getty Images

John Mayer used to have quite the reputation as a player, and he'd like to think he's put that behind him. Unfortunately, a woman who claims to have been one of his past conquests spilled the tea on camera this week.

According to OK! magazine, on the March 19 episode of Vanderpump Rules, cast member Scheana Shay was seen playing the game "Never Have I Ever." In the game, she indicated she once took part in an orgy. When asked about it, Shay said that it was with an "A-list celebrity" and added, "Once upon a time, my body was a wonderland. I’ll just say that.”

Of course, that's a reference to Mayer's hit "Your Body Is a Wonderland." Shay, who's been married to Brock Davies since 2021, has claimed in the past that she and Mayer were romantically involved.

According to Shay, she met Mayer in 2008 when she was a waitress at an exclusive club. He later got her number from a friend, and the two started dating after he broke up with Jennifer Aniston. Shay has also claimed that she was in a throuple with Mayer and Stacie Adams of The Hills but ended up leaving because, she said, Mayer was paying more attention to Adams than to her.

Mayer hasn't responded to Shay's claim so far.

In addition to dating Aniston, Mayer, who's single, has also dated Katy Perry, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt and allegedly, Taylor Swift.

'Bridgerton' season 3 sneak peek shows sweet moment with Anthony, Kate

Netflix

Dearest readers, a new sneak peek from Bridgerton season 3 has arrived.

In the new clip, we see Kate and Anthony — whose love story was the focus of last season — share a sweet moment on the dance floor of a ball.

Anthony, played by Jonathan Bailey, pulls Kate (Simone Ashley) aside for a dance after he speaks with his sister, Francesca (Hannah Dodd).

The clip begins with Francesca telling Anthony that she'd like a moment alone. Anthony then turns his attention to his wife, Kate, who is across the room talking to his mother, Lady Violet Bridgerton (played by Ruth Gemmell).

He walks over to Kate and Lady Violet and tells his mother that Francesca "simply needed a moment. As do I."

"And I should like to use that moment to dance with my beautiful wife," Anthony says before leading Kate to the dance floor. While dancing, Anthony sneaks a kiss with Kate.

The new season of Bridgerton will focus on the romance between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton, played by Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton, respectively.

According to a synopsis, the upcoming season will center around Penelope, who "has finally given up her long-held crush on Colin Bridgerton after hearing his disparaging words about her last season."

"She has, however, decided it's time to take a husband, preferably one who will provide her with enough independence to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, far away from her mother and sisters," the synopsis continues.

Bridgerton season 3 will arrive in two parts. Part one will be available to stream on Netflix on May 16, and part two will be available to stream on June 13.

Kim Kardashian kisses Emma Roberts in trailer to 'American Horror Story: Delicate - Part 2'

FX

FX has dropped the trailer to the second installment of American Horror Story: Delicate, complete with a quick introduction by star Kim Kardashian.

The teaser shows Emma Roberts' Anna getting increasingly creeped out — and creepy — as her pregnancy develops.

"Something's happening to me," she says as she bites into an animal bone at a restaurant, to the shock of Kim's character, Siobhan, a high-powered publicist.

Another moment has Roberts giving birth to a spider from her baby bump.

"I'm going to give you the life of your dreams," Kim later tells her. "What would [you] give up for it?"

"Anything," Roberts replies, to which Siobhan leans in and kisses Anna.

It only gets more intense from there, with Anna expressing of an Oscar, "I don't know if I can keep campaigning for this award," only to be answered with a smack across the face from Kim's character.

"I will never let you say another word about quitting," Siobhan says.

However, the statement is not all about her career: There's a cult after her unborn baby. Anna finds herself tortured by visions and surrounded by women dressed like witches, including Cara Delevigne's Nurse Ivy and Siobhan.

"You're a monster!" Anna tells her.

"Oh no, babe, I'm so much worse," Kim purrs.

American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 premieres Wednesday, April 3, at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
