It's Tax Free Weekend! But Only For Some Counties In Missouri.

Get ready shoppers, its a tax-free weekend!  Shop until you drop August 5th - 7th, IF you can find a county that is participating, you will be able to save big money on school supplies and clothing.

Some of the tax free items include computers, clothes, calculators, software, textbooks, paper, writing instruments, crayons, art supplies, rulers, book bags  backpacks, plus chalk, maps, globes, and paper.

What is NOT included in the tax-free weekend : CD players, headphones, sporting equipment, phones, copiers, furniture, jewelry and handbags and accessories.

Many counties and cities in Missouri have opt out of the tax-free weekend. Those counties and cities will still charge county or city taxes on the above items. However, if you purchase approved school supplies from these counties and cities, state and federal tax will still be withheld.

Hottest New Trend? Veltini!

Remember last spring when the hottest nail color was “Velveeta Yellow?” Well now the hottest drink this summer is the “Veltini”

So what is a Veltini? It’s a cocktail made from Velveeta.  A LOT of Velveeta.

Select restaurants are serving them or you can make your own. What is in it?

It features Velveeta cheese-infused vodka . . . an olive brine . . . and dry vermouth.  It’s garnished with Velveeta-stuffed olives . . . jumbo-size Velveeta cheese shells . . . and there’s a “cheese drip” along the brim of the glass.

Goldbelly has $50 Veltini meal kits, complete with glasses and a shaker.  Or, if you’re REALLY ambitious, you can probably DIY-it with a box of Velveeta mac-and-cheese.

McAlister's Deli is celebrating FREE TEA DAY at all of its 500-plus locations nationwide, TODAY, Thursday, July 21, 2022! They are offering a free 32-oz cup of their signature Famous Sweet Tea, Thursday, July 21 only. Additional teas valid for this promotion include sweet tea, unsweet tea, sweet tea/unsweet tea, tea/lemonade, LTO Blackberry Tea, and flavored teas.

You do NOT have to be a McAlister's Rewards member to qualify. There is a limit of one free tea per person in-store, and a limit of 4 free teas per order via the McAlister’s Deli website or app. McAlister’s Delivery orders subject to delivery and convenience fees.

Toys “R” Us is COMING BACK!

Toys “R” Us, the beloved brand known around the world, is coming back! Toys “R” Us is returning to brick-and-mortar retail just in time for this year's quickly approaching holiday season.

The company went bankrupt and sold all its stores in 2018... I KNOW, it doesn't seem possible that it all happened that long ago! Toys "R" Us will reportedly, open shops inside EVERY Macy's store in the U.S. by mid-October.

We are excited for one of America's most iconic toy stores to make this big come back!

Fourth of July Firework Shows around the Ozarks!

Check out where all you can see the best Fourth of July firework displays around the Ozarks below!

1. The 26th Annual Have-A-Blast Patriotic Celebration, Friday, July 1st, at J.R. Martin Park in Republic. This is a free event. The celebration will begin at 6 p.m., and include over 30 vendors, axe throwing, an exotic petting zoo, an inflatable zone, and live music from Members Only.
2. Fireburst Celebration, Friday, July 1st, at Kimberling City Police Department at Kimberline Boulevard in Kimberling City. This is a free event. The celebration will start at dark or around 9:00 p.m.
3. Fireworks Over The Water and Duck Derby, Saturday, July 2nd, at Pomme de Terre Lake Dam Spillway in Hermitage. This is a free event. The festivities will begin at 4 p.m. with a duck derby, a food truck and live music from The Countyliners.
4. Shell Knob Independence Fest, Saturday, July 2nd, at Shell Knob Community Park in Shell Knob, MO. This is a free event. The fest begins at 5 p.m. and includes music from Saints Eleven, Jeremiah and the Blue Hase, and Josh Davidson , food trucks, and a beer garden.
5. Waldopalooza, Saturday, July 2nd, at The Clever Barn in Clever, MO. This event cost $10 per vehicle. The celebration features live music from rock and country cover band Samalama from 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. before the firework show.
6. Branson Landing's 15th Annual Liberty Light Up, Sunday, July 3rd, at Branson Landing in Branson, MO. This is a free event. The concert featuring performance by Damsel and The Dirty Saints begin at 5 p.m., followed by fireworks over Lake Taneycomo at dark.
7. Springfield Cardinals' Freedom Week Rockin' in America Fireworks will be after each home game Friday, July 1st through Sunday, July 3rd, at Hammons Field in Springfield, MO. This event cost anywhere between $10 to $58 dollars per person.
8. Springfield Midtown 4th of July Parade, Monday, July 4th, starting at Benton and Central and ending at Washington Park. This is a free event. The parade begins at 10 a.m.
9. 143rd Annual Fourth of July Parade, Monday, July 4th, on the Historic Marshfield Square in Marshfield, MO. This is a free event. The parade begins at 10 a.m.
10. The 69th Annual Hollister Fireworks Celebration , Monday, July 4th, at Chad A. Fuqua Park in Hollister, MO. This is a free event. This event begins are 7 p.m.
11. Top of the Rock Fireworks display, Monday, July 4th, at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, MO. This event is open to the public for $20.
12. Springfield's Old Fashioned Fourth of July Parade and Celebration, Monday July 4th, at Washington Park in Springfield, MO. This is a free event. The parade begins at 10 a.m.
13. Fourth of July Parade, Monday, July 4th, in Strafford, MO. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m.

Whataburger Locations Revealed in Springfield!

Great news!!! “The Whataburger” restaurant chain has revealed 3 new locations that will be built in Springfield!

The locations will be... West Sunshine near McCurry Avenue, North Glenstone near Kearney (on the same site as burned-out hotel), and on the Battlefield Mall Parking lot close to Glenstone.

Don’t worry Ozark and Republic, locations are expected there too!
